WHY WE BUILT THIS

One frustrated home.

Smart home tech is supposed to make life simpler. In practice it means a drawer full of competing hubs, a monthly fee to each, and the unsettling knowledge that your thermostat is reporting your schedule to a server farm in Oregon.

We lived with that for years — cobbling together Home Assistant, Zigbee bridges, and cloud integrations we resented. Good enough, but never cohesive. Never the thing you wanted to hand to a family member and say: just use it.

Nexop is our answer. One device, all local, AI that works because it knows your home — not because it phones a server to find out.

"Your home should be the smartest room in your life — not the most surveilled."

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Three convictions we won't compromise on.

Privacy is the product.

Your home knows when you wake up, who comes over, and when you're away. That data is yours. Full stop. Nexop never phones home — there's no home to phone.

Intelligence should compound.

Every automation you build today should still work in five years. No subscriptions. No deprecations. No rug-pulls. You own the hardware, you own the logic, you keep the value.

Open is better.

We build on Home Assistant — the world's most capable open home automation platform. We don't replace the ecosystem. We make it smarter, faster, and friendlier.

BUILT BY THE PEOPLE WHO USE IT

Two founders. One frustrated home.

Nexop exists because we couldn't find what we wanted to live with.
